Rancocas Village, Timbuctoo and Woodlane Road
The oldest part of Westampton is Rancocas Village, on Main Street by the creek. Quakers raised a log meeting house there in 1703 and replaced it in 1772 with the brick Rancocas Friends Meeting House that still stands, and the village around it is now a historic district of about a hundred homes. Upstream, in 1826, the Quaker William Hilyard sold land to four Black men believed to have escaped slavery in Maryland. Their settlement, Timbuctoo, grew to a school, a church and more than 125 residents, served as an Underground Railroad stop, and is one of the few such communities in New Jersey whose site survives.
The township itself dates to March 6, 1850, when it was carved from the western end of Northampton Township, and it lost its eastern half in 1880 when Eastampton split away. Today Woodlane Road passes the Burlington County Library headquarters and the Westampton campus of the Burlington County Institute of Technology, and Rancocas Road leads out to the Rancocas Nature Center.
Old village silver, 22K from overseas postings, and rings from Rancocas Valley grads
Two kinds of collections come up Route 537 from here. The first is the long-settled one: sterling flatware and serving pieces at 92.5 percent silver from the older houses near Rancocas Village, pocket coins saved for decades, and a grandmother's 14K rings at 58.5 percent. Class rings from Rancocas Valley Regional, the high school in Mount Holly that Westampton students attend, turn up in both 10K and 14K. The second belongs to military families. Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst is a short drive east, and households that have served abroad often own 22K chains and bangles at 91.7 percent gold, bought on assignments in the Middle East or South Asia, sometimes with hallmarks nobody here has seen before.
High-karat gold is tested and paid at its own reading, never lumped in with 14K. The gold jewelry page explains how karats are sorted, and the silver page explains how sterling is separated from plate.
What a seller said after a visit to our Route 537 store
“I had the best experience at the Cash 4 Gold Trading Post on Rte 537 in Millstone Twp. Knowledgeable beyond any expectation. Joe, the owner, was fabulous. I learned so much and left with a good amount of cash for all my broken and unused gold jewelry.”

From Interchange 5 to Monmouth Road in Millstone Township
The quick way is the highway: pick up I-295 north, or the Turnpike north from Interchange 5, and connect to I-195 east. Leave I-195 at the Route 537 exit and follow Monmouth Road east toward Freehold to 494 Monmouth Rd, Suite 5. That is about 34 miles and 33 minutes. If you would rather stay off the highways, Route 537 itself runs from Mount Holly through Jobstown and Wrightstown to the same address.
Which parts of Westampton and the towns around it do we see?
Sellers come from Rancocas Village and the Timbuctoo area along the creek, from the developments off Woodlane Road and Burlington-Mount Holly Road, and from the Mount Holly side of the 08060 ZIP. Neighbors to the west and north drive the same route.

The visit, step by step, for a Westampton seller
You put the pieces down and they stay where you can watch them. Each one gets an XRF reading, with an acid test on gold, and goes on a state-certified scale. Gold is split into piles by karat, sterling is pulled apart from plated, and any coin with collector value is flagged before it is counted as metal. You get one clear number based on the market that morning. Take it and you are paid in cash on the spot, or leave with everything you brought.

Where is the closest place to sell gold near Westampton, NJ?
Cash 4 Gold Trading Post at 494 Monmouth Rd, Suite 5 in Millstone, about 34 miles and roughly 33 minutes from Westampton on the highways. Phone (732) 444-2022.
When is the Millstone store open?
Monday through Friday from 10 to 6 and Saturday from 10 to 3. It is closed Sunday. Walk in without an appointment, and bring a valid government photo ID, which New Jersey requires for every precious-metals sale.
Do you buy 22K gold bought overseas?
Yes. Chains, bangles and sets bought on a posting in the Middle East or South Asia are often 22K, which is 91.7 percent gold, and some carry no stamp we recognize at all. The XRF analyzer reads the actual content, so an unfamiliar hallmark is not a problem.
Can I sell before a military move out of the Mount Holly area?
Yes. Many households near the base sort jewelry before a move. Bring what you are not taking, keep what you want back, and you leave with cash the same day. Nothing is held and nothing needs to be picked up later.
My address says Mount Holly 08060, but I live in Westampton. Does that matter?
No. The Mount Holly post office handles 08060 for Westampton, Eastampton and Mount Holly, but Westampton has been its own township since 1850. The trip to Millstone is the same either way.
Is there a back-road way to the store from Westampton?
Yes. Route 537 runs east from Mount Holly through Jobstown and Wrightstown, past the base and through Jackson, and our store is on that same road in Millstone Township. It takes longer than the highway, but it has no tolls.
