Do people really sell used tools and phones to a gold buyer?

Yes, and more than we expected. Tools came up in 5 of the 43 requests, the same as watches, and two of those were whole collections from people who had retired from a trade. Phones, laptops and tablets came up in 4.

Every store buys both. Power tools are run at the counter before an offer, and phones are checked for model, storage and condition. We buy tools; we are not a tool store and we do not repair them.
