What we evaluate at the Millstone store

We buy modern bullion, pre-1933 U.S. gold coins, silver dollars, pre-1965 dimes, quarters, and half dollars, silver Eagles, foreign silver and gold coins, commemoratives, proof sets, and stronger collector groups. We also evaluate mixed lots that include jewelry and sterling from the same estate.

Not every coin should be valued the same way. Some pieces are melt-driven. Others carry collector premiums based on date, mint mark, condition, or demand. We check for both.

A good fit for local estate sellers

Millstone is a practical intake point for family collections coming from Freehold, Monroe, Cranbury, Hightstown, Allentown, and surrounding towns. The Route 537 location is easy to reach, and the in-store process works well for inherited lots that need sorting before a sale decision is made.

If the collection is large, call first. For small to medium groups, just walk in. Tubes, albums, coin boxes, envelopes, and bags are all fine. You do not need to organize the collection before bringing it.

Why the evaluation matters

We do not want someone walking away with only a silver-weight number on a coin that deserved more attention. We check whether collector value beats melt value and build the offer accordingly.

1. Bring the collection as-is. Albums, tubes, flips, slabs, boxes, or bags all work.
